This distance learning program provides you with a 90 Day subscription to the Certification Courseware, communication with an experienced Mastercam Certified Instructor, quizzes, testing and grading. This certificate will be upgradeable to future releases and product levels.

certificateUpon successful completion, this on-line certification program provides you with (3) college credits from Clackamas Community College and a Certificate of Completion. These credits transfer to a manufacturing technology degree and CCC is accredited by the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities.

This program is intended for a student with a background in CNC machining who has access to a broadband internet connection and the industrial, student or educational version of Mastercam X2 or Mastercam X3. The demo version can not be used for this program.

After purchasing certification, students will be able to purchase the full industrial courseware for $50 off of the list price, for continued self-paced learning.

This certification program was developed as a collaboration between Streamingteacher, Inc. and Clackamas Community College and is approved by CNC Software, Inc., developers of the Mastercam product.

This course uses Mastercam Design / Mill version X3 or X2 and is intended for the student with a confident background in machining processes, work holding, set up and programming of CNC machines.

Requirements

  • Internet access (DSL or Cable recommended)
  • Access to an industrial Mastercam system or Student version
  • A college enrollment form must be filled out using our secure connection
  • A login for accessing testing will be created for you by Streamingteacher

Refund Policy

A request must be filed during the first two weeks your subscription.

Please Note: Your Streamingteacher certification fee of $124 (which was included in your total certification charge of $405) is considered a workshop fee and may not be refunded after 48 hours from time of subscription regardless of the length of the class. There are some exceptions to the above refund policies for classes that have specialized non-refundable fees.

Refund processing begins the third week of the term. Please allow a minimum of four weeks from the start of the term to process your refund check or a credit to appear on your credit card account. Questions regarding your refund are handled by Student Accounts at 503-657-6958 ext. 2253. NO REFUNDS ARE ALLOWED nor will a student account be credited for classes dropped after these deadlines, unless approved by the refund committee. A Petition for an Exception to the Refund Policy form with all required documentation must be submitted to the Registrar's Office to request an exception to our refund policy due to illness, death in the family or institutional error. A refund petition received in the Registrar's Office after more than 90 days past the term for which the exception is requested will not be considered.

If a class is canceled, the account will be coded canceled and the student account adjusted. Financial aid students must notify the Office of Student Financial Services of intent to withdraw from classes. Students receiving Veteran's benefits must also notify the Veteran's Specialist. Students dropping below their award status may be required to repay financial aid.

Bob Delgatto

Bob is a full time faculty member in the manufacturing program at Clackamas Community College where he develops and teaches curriculum for students seeking degrees and job skills in Manufacturing, Machining, and CNC/CAD/CAM applications.

Prior to teaching Bob was an R&D / Experimental Machinist, for 20 years.  Serving the Computer, Medical, and Aerospace industries, his responsibilities lead him to participate in many high profile, international projects.

Bob's involvement with Mastercam began back at version 5, and as Mastercam evolved, his growth continued as a Mastercam Customer, Beta Tester, and Mastercam Certified College Instructor.  He is also one of the founding forces in the development of Streamingteacher.


Chris Rizzo

Chris Rizzo is an entrepreneur and Mastercam certified college instructor with a BFA from the Rochester Institute of Technology where he majored in Industrial Design. He works with Mastercam on a daily basis and enjoys studying and mastering the features and then sharing the knowledge with his students.

Chris owns and operates his own business, Speedymoto in Portland, Oregon, designing and manufacturing motorcycle components and is part time faculty at Clackamas Community College where he teaches Mastercam and CNC operation.


Jeremy Haage

Jeremy has 5 years experience doing technical support services for customers, plus workshop/webinar training and internal IT support for MCAM Northwest, Inc. (an Authorized Mastercam Reseller).  He also serves as Director of Information Technology for a local non-profit organization.  His background is in PC based hardware & software, with several years experience supporting hardware/software for an Internet Service Provider

He really enjoys learning new features in the software.  He says, “You can use it for years and still learn something new every time you fire it up”.  And he finds helping others to complete a project or learn a part of the software satisfying.  “Knowing that what you teach might make a difference in someone’s career (which ultimately affects their life) is fulfilling.”


John Bailey

John has been a Mastercam User for many years involved in both the production and prototype arenas.

His application of Mastercam extends from 3D surface machining on 3 axis vertical mills to full 5 axis surface machining.   He is also a Mastercam Beta tester and part time instructor for industrial Mastercam trainer.

Q: Can I get college credits through the Streamingteacher Online Certification Program?
A: Yes, this program is in partnership with Clackamas Community College and offers accredited college credits.
Q: Are the credits offered by an accredited college?
A: Yes, Clackamas Community College is accredited by the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities (NWCCU).
Q: Can I change my regular X2 subscription over to the Certification Program?
A: No, our Certification Program has been created in cooperation with Clackamas Community College so we are unable to transfer subscriptions between the courseware's.
Q: If I subscribe to the Certification Program do I have access to all of the Streamingteacher courseware materials?
A: No, a subscription to our Certification Program allows students access only to the Certification Program channel and required videos. We do offer a discounted subscription to existing Certification Program students to purchase an additional subscription to the regular Streamingteacher X2 courseware - there will be a link to purchase this discounted courseware once you login to your Certification Program subscription.
Q: Will there be other Streamingteacher Certification Programs?
A: Yes, Streamingteacher will be adding: Advanced Mill, Lathe and Multi Axis Certification in the near future.
Q: Is there Testing involved in the Certification Program?
A: Yes, you will be tested and graded according to your performance on an established curve by a Certified Mastercam Instructor.
Q: What if I don't pass the course?
A: Like all college classes if you do not pass the course and still desire to obtain the credits or certificate you will be required to re-take the entire class.
Q: Can I use the Mastercam Demo software in order to take the class?
A: No, this course requires a working seat of Mastercam X2 that can edit and save either an *.MCX or *.EMCX file. (Mastercam X2 Software is not supplied. If you do not have access to a seat of Mastercam, you can purchase a Student Version of Mastercam X2, which is available through CNC Software Educational Division). The "Demo" version does not "save" and will not be sufficient.
Q: Can I use the Mastercam Student version of the software to take the class?
A: Yes, the student version will work for our Certification Program. Please let the instructor know that you are using the Student version of the software after you enroll.
Q: Where can I purchase the software required for the Certification class?
A: You can purchase the software by going to www.mastercam.com and clicking on the "Resellers" tab - then "Find a Reseller". This will get you the contact information for your Mastercam Reseller.
Q: Why can't I login to the website? I don't receive any indication that my login or password was entered incorrectly.
A: If you do receive an 'Invalid username/password' message then please try to enter your username/password again. If you have forgotten your password, use the 'Forgot Password?' link to retrieve your password. If you do not receive an 'Invalid username/password' message and still can't login to the site then ensure that your web browser is configured with the following: . Cookies Enabled . Java Enabled . If you use pop-up blocker software try disabling this or add http://www.streamingteacher.com to the list of allowed sites. If these solutions fail to resolve your problem you may need to contact your ISP have them walk you through enabling a proxy server in your browser.
Q: Why do I get an access denied message when I try to load a video?
A: An access denied message indicates one of two things, you are either not currently logged into the website or your account does not currently have an active subscription to this courseware. There is a 30 minute inactivity timeout on this website, so please check the login panel on the left to make sure you are currently logged in. If you are logged in and still receive the access denied message, check your "My Account" page to ensure the courseware you are trying to access is listed under the 'Quick Launch' section.
Q: If I buy subscriptions for multiple users and one of them is never assigned, can I have that subscription added to the end of one of the other subscriptions?
A: No, we are unable to combine multiple subscriptions into one subscription.
