    Technical Assistance / Troubleshooting

    Display Settings:

Streamingteacher is optimized for 1024x768 video resolution.  To change your display resolution, right-click on the Windows desktop and select properties, click the settings tab and move the screen resolution slider to 1024x768 then hit apply.  The screen should flicker and ask you if you want to keep these settings.  You can view the courseware material at a higher resolution than 1024x768 but at a lower resolution the video player bar (bottom of the video) will not be visible.  You will have to scroll the video window down to access the player bar.

    General Browser Cleanup:

Often times you may experience problems when your browser cache has not be cleared for a while.  You can try clearing your browser cache as a first step towards troubleshooting any technical issues you may be experiencing while navigating the site.

Instructions for IE 6.0: Go to Start > Control Panel.  Double-click the Internet Options icon.  On the General tab left-click on Delete Files.  You can check the "Delete offline content" checkbox to completely remove all files from the browser cache.  Choose OK to delete the files.

Clicking the View Segment link will not open the video:

There can be several causes for the video not playing after you click on the View Segment link.  Here are some common causes/fixes for this problem.

    • Make sure that JavaScript is Enabled in your browser.

    • You may need to disable any pop-up blocker software or add www.streamingteacher.com to your allowed sites.

Entering your username and password will not log you in or you can not create a user account:

    • You may need to disable any pop-up blocker software or add www.streamingteacher.com to your allowed sites.
